New paradigms of social and mobile computing: applications in the field of health
SHORT ABSTRACT OF THE TALK
The progressive increase of the benefits of smartphones has given rise to a flourishing market of mobile applications with specific and differentiated characteristics, among which we can cite the ubiquity of its use and social aspects. In this talk we will explore how the adoption of alternative models to the traditional client / server allows us to approach the development of applications from a different point of view, so that they are centered on the device itself and on its owner and how this new paradigm can result especially relevant in the field of health.

Carlos Canal is a university professor in software engineering at the University of Málaga. His research interests include the development of component-based software, service-oriented development, or cloud computing. Particularly, the specification of formal methods, the secure composition and the adaptation of software components. Canal obtained his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Malaga.
