PostWIMP technologies in support of Telerehabilitation
SHORT ABSTRACT OF THE TALK
Our society is increasingly aware of the need to take actions that help those most vulnerable and for this, the use of ICT applications and solutions is essential. Due to the duration of the rehabilitation processes, there is a need to carry out a part of them outside the clinics. This has motivated the appearance of tele-rehabilitation ICT solutions.
This talk will briefly present the needs that these people have in their rehabilitation process and how they become challenges that ICTs have to solve. Next, it will be presented how PostWIMP technologies can help to face these challenges. Among them will be the use, or the use of virtual reality techniques to offer greater control of the patient’s environment.
